A kangaroo sighting in Wisconsin was sent to the local police on a goose chase for the marsupial.
Grand Chute police said officers responded to a report of a joey hopping across a bridge over Interstate 41 on Monday morning. The police searched the nearby brush for any signs of the visitor from Down Under, but couldn’t find it.

“It seems that the kangaroo was… Wait for it. A jump pass,” the department joked on Twitter.
The department had some fun with the unusual call-out of the social media.
She tweeted a photo of a Community Service Officer, Davis was wearing a helmet, and the handle of a small cage and a big net with the caption: “CSOS that Davis was not taking a chance. It may be necessary to have a larger cage, though.”

The search for the missing kangaroo will resume on Tuesday morning, police said. The officers were “closely monitoring” the brush in the vicinity of the place where the animal was last seen. The department posted a photo of the officers by one of the owners of the “Grand Chute Marsupial.”
This is not the first time kangaroo can be spotted in the Badger State. In November, a kangaroo named Lulu was hit and killed by a pick-up truck after escaping from a home in the Appleton Post-Crescent reported.
