As a convicted felon in Tennessee was arrested after he allegedly rammed a police cruiser and led officers on a chase, according to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.
Derell Broyles, 19, had allegedly sped off from the Juvenile Crime Task Force officers attempted to stop the 2015 Honda Accord he was driving. The police department said officers were searching for the vehicle in connection with a carjacking and a robbery, which unfolded earlier this month.
The officers saw the Honda, and it is a white 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, both thought to be connected to a hold-up surveys, at a Philadelphia apartment complex Sunday night, police said.
When officers in a marked patrol vehicle and turned around to follow the Jeep, Broyles has allegedly bumped into the back of the police car and took off.
Broyles later, he was involved in a hit-and-run at a spot about eight kilometers away from the apartment, and his passenger ran off, police said. Broyles then allegedly sped off to the crash about six miles away.
