The staff at the Taj Mahal may have to be implemented in a three-hour time limit for visitors who want to see the world-famous site, and the ones that are too long for their welcome and had better be ready to fork over a little extra cash.

“If tourists are higher than those for the term of up to three hours, they will need to pay an additional amount equal to the fee that will be charged to the exit,” explained Vasant Swarankar, the superintending archaeologist, The Times of India.

The new rules are actually set to go into effect in April 2018, but it stalled following objections to — and even then, the backlash over the installation of a new gate designed to regulate the tourist, as some people have claimed that they have blocked the entrance to the 400-year-old Siddheshwar Mahadev temple. One of the gates had even been torn up and moved to a vandalism incident, the Huffington Post reported in June of 2018.

The new regulations finally went into effect on Sunday, after a successful test run on Saturday. The visitors were now in command of one of the two sets of the seven ports of entry (14 in total), and exit is via two sets of five slots (10 in total). For those whose tickets have been issued for more than three hours prior to the leave will be charged for the additional cost.

It goes on to the world-famous Unesco world heritage site, currently the costs are in the range of $16 to $19 dollars. The maps are of considerably less that the people of India, it will cost you between 72 cents and about $3.60 per an Insider.
