The Strokes-guitarist in the sea with Josh Homme for the album CRX

Homme, frontman of Queens of the Stone Age, was the producer of New Skin, the debut album of the band CRX.

The new band around Nick Valensi, better known as the guitarist of The Strokes, brings this fall to a first full-length album. Other members of CRX are Ralph Alexander (The Dose), Richie Follin (Guards), Darian Zahedi and Jon Safley (The Reflections).

For the recordings knew Valensi and co. two famous names from the world of music to individuals. Josh Homme, guitarist and frontman of Queens of the Stone Age, previously worked together with Iggy Pop and Arctic Monkeys, and entered now, also on as a producer of the first CRX-plate. Grammy Award winner Andrew Scheps took place behind the console during the recording of New Skin.

Via Twitter, the band all artwork, together with the names of the songs on the upcoming album to be heard.

New Skin will appear on October 28 on Columbia Records, the record label of, among others, Bob Dylan and Adele. The band will this autumn also play some select dates in the United States, in the support of Beck. (YES)
