The situation in the French part of Saint-Martin remains tight, the schools are closed

The tense situation in the French part of St. Maarten after a five-day meet. The people are angry about the lack of decisive action by the French government for the reconstruction of the island following the hurricane, the Sound, and the establishment of a good prevention plan for natural disasters.

A large part of the stores, and all of the schools in the French-speaking part of the island, have been closed due to the ongoing unrest.

The police have found a number of barriers which wicked people had laid out clean; there will continue to be there in the Quartier d’orleans, and on the Sandy Ground.

On the streets there is a remarkable amount of constitution. The French minister of overseas departments and territories, Annick Girardin, has called for calm.

Tourists are canceling travel for the holidays

The president of the association of the French part of Sint Maarten, has raised concerns over the turmoil of the week.

Tourism is an important source of income, and because of the riots, there are a lot of cancellations for the christmas holiday season, report the French media. A number of countries, including the united states and Canada, and have temporarily set up their travel plans changed.

English is always on the lookout for the skip-a riot

The local government in the Dutch part of Sint Maarten, it has the additional agents to be deployed in order to avoid the anxiety affects it.

The storm was the Sound, in 2017, in major damage to it. In the Dutch part of the island there is a lot of reconstruction to be done, but on the French side of the island happens for a little bit.
