Christina Oxenberg, a cousin of the British royal family, and the sister of Catherine Oxenberg, has recalled a strange encounter with Ghislaine Maxwell, in which Jeffrey Epstein’s famous gal-pal had a ladies’ tea party in her underwear and bra, while fanning herself with a copy of Vogue.
In 1991, just after Maxwell, the media mogul father, Robert, died before they were mixed with Epstein — Oxenberg points out that, even though the two weren’t close, “she called me up and asked me to go with the tea. “I’m poor!” she wailed, invited me to go with her new digs. I expected it to be a slum, but it was a spacious and light-filled on 79th Street.”

She writes, “Ghislaine presided, in a white lace bra and underwear set, and a lot of jewelry; she jangled as she moved. She explained to me that the lack of clothing because it was hot and it was summer. She smiled to herself, with a copy of Vogue … but I can’t remember their names, but there were three other women in the tea party. We were still fully clothed.”

Also, there was a “baby Yorkshire terrier called Max, Maxwell was given, Oxenberg writes. “And more than once more, and threw the quivering little bundle of a whole lot of crazy to the other side of the room.
