Rep. Tom Malinowski, D-N. J., defended the presence of legal and illegal immigrants on Tuesday, is asking his constituents: “who do you think Who is mowing our beautiful lawn?”
“There are a lot of jobs in our community that, like it or not, for better or for worse, not the Americans are ready to,” Malinowski said in a video by the Washington Examiner.
Malinowski, the freshman Democrat who is now running for re-election in New Jersey’s seventh district, began relying on the statics of the important role of the migrants shows play in the workforce.
“Who do you think takes care of our seniors? Fifty percent of the employees working in geriatric care in the U.S. state of New Jersey are immigrants, most of them most of them are documented and legal. And there are certainly some that are not,” the Congressman said to the crowd. “Who do you think who is mowing our beautiful lawn in Somerset County? We usually do not ask, but a lot of workers without papers.”

After a participant mentioned that he works in a children-coding-training-program called “Code Ninjas,” joked Malinowski that you lawn a “bunch of elites”, not “go mow.”

Malinowski represents a swing district previously owned by the GOP. Also, he is one of more than 120 house Democrats, support for impeachment proceedings against President Trump.
