However, it was discovered in the Australian outback in the 1950’s, and has been investigated often since then, scientists have only recently been found in a surprising result, to be buried in Wedderburn meteorites — the remnants of an old planet, and a new mineral is not seen in the wild.
The seven-ounce, red and the black meteorite that was found in Victoria, Australia, in January 1951, but a planetary scientist Geoffrey Bonnin, told the Australian news outlet The Age, that it is basically the molten core of a planet, millions of years ago.
“It was blasted apart from each other,” Geoffrey Bonning said in the interview.

As a result of the explosion of the meteorite, which had an abundance of carbon, and was heated. The carbon combines with the iron to the inside to form a new mineral known as edscottite, named in honor of Edward Scott, a pioneering cosmochemist from the University of Hawaii.
Edscottite have seen it, but the only ferrous metal such as iron is turned into steel. It’s the fact that it has already been seen in nature, which allowed the researchers to give it its name.

Bonning added: “all the stones” to be, to a certain extent, “a little bit radioactive.” He also pointed out that if the planet exploded, it could have been hit by another object, causing a massive collision, a natural disaster, flying through the solar system.
From there, it entered the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, and eventually wound up on the Ground.
The study has been published in the scientific journal American Mineralogist.
