The recipe for the Dutch sushibowl with only five ingredients

Cooking doesn’t have to be that complicated. With five ingredients and place in an instant, something on the table. In NU.nl you can read each week and how to do it. Episode 6: the Dutch sushibowl.
What you’ll need for up to four people

  • 350g sushi rice
  • 1 tablespoon of sushi vinegar (more or less to taste)
  • 4 pegs
  • 300 grams of green beans
  • 500 grams of cooked beets

How do you get it going

  • Cook the sushi rice according to the directions on the package. Rinse the sushi rice thoroughly with water in a colander.
  • Let the sushi rice after cooking with a little bit of a cool down, in a large scale. Pour over the sushi vinegar over, and stir the rice around with a spoon.
  • Cut the green beans into angled pieces and cook for five minutes until al dente in water with a pinch of salt.
  • Cut the beets in half and then into thin slices.
  • Spread the sushi rice on four serving bowls or deep plates. Divide the sliced beets and green beans over it. Cut the herrings into pieces and put them in there.
  • Enjoy your meal!
