The rebel leader, the Somali terrorist group al-Shabaab surrenders
Former rebel leader sheikh Mukhtar Robow, also known as Abu Mansur, as it has in Somalia, surrendered to the authorities. According to legerwoordvoerder Nur Mohamed, he has the ties with the islamic terrorist organisation al-Shabaab has now definitively severed.
Robow was in the past the second man and the spokesman of al-Shabaab. He received in 2013 had an argument and fell into disfavor.
Since then, he was with a number of armed faithful hiding in the jungle. Attempts by his former jihadist friends to kill him, or jail, failed.
In June it was announced that the Somali government negotiations conducted with Robow for him to move about, to walk. The US had to arrest 5 million dollar prize but withdrew that premium two months ago. Also, they took his name after five years of the list of wanted terrorists.
It is unclear what to do with Robow’s going to happen after the arrival in Mogadishu. Political analysts are worried. They find that he for the court is to be established, will there ever peace can come.
