A lucky “Price is Right” contestant shattered the Plinko record on Thursday.
Ryan Belz, a participant from Philadelphia, was all excited when Drew Carey invited him on the stage, but he freaked out when he discovered that he would play the Plinko game.
The participants have to guess the correct digits in the prices of prizes to earn Plinko chips. They take the chips to the top of a backboard and leave them in a slot, where they travel down to reveal the winning amounts.
The Penn State graduate first chip landed on the $10,000, and Belz, and the crowd went crazy.
What happened next was to break the record.
The following chips landed on $1,000, $10,000 and $500 and finally $10,000. He won $31,500 breaking the previous record of $30,500.
Belz told TMZ in an interview after the big win that he thought his job on the Goal would help him a estimate of the prices.
Twitter also went wild after watching Ryan’s to win.
America is about to be a new superhero. His name is Ryan. He just put the Plinko record on the Price Is right in exuberant fashion.
