WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Police in northeastern Pennsylvania say they have about $ 1,600 worth of crack-cocaine in their “lost and found box” in the hope of reunification of the medicine with the rightful owner.
The (Wilkes-Barre) Citizens’ Voice reports that the drug was found in the parking lot of a shopping center outside Wilkes-Barre (WILKS’-ba-ree).

Wilkes-Barre Township police posted about the find on the department’s Facebook page. In a message with the headline “FOUND ITEM,” the police joked the drug is placed in the section “lost and found box” and invited the owner to come and pick up.
The post requested a photo of the crack, the owner of the holding company of the drug, together with the ID and a “written statement that your claim is on crack.”
