The Chicago police have asked for help in identifying a masked man who shot and killed two members of an Orthodox Jewish community over the course of two days, with the year-ago period.

“We have exhausted all of the active and useful leads, and are asking for the public’s help,” said Commander Robert Cesario, the Area to the North of the Detectives, at a news conference on Tuesday. “We know that there is someone out there who is innocent, which will help you get to the chapter, this research needs to be done now,” he added.

The two murders took place in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood. The gunman first killed a 24-year-old Eliyahu Moscowitz, on Sept. 30, 2018, when he was playing Pokemon and walked along a path in the Loyola Park area. A day later, police believe the same man is shot and killed, Douglas W, 73 of. Investigators say a forensic ballistic analysis verified that the same gun was used in both murders.

The police believed that the killer was caught on surveillance footage moments after the killing of Moscowitz, but his face is completely covered. It is believed that the two victims were killed at random.
