An armed man who allegedly tried to rob a cell phone store in Philadelphia, pennsylvania, on Monday, was shot and killed by an employee at a dramatic moment captured on video.
The Philadelphia Police Department said the incident happened just after 4 a.m. at a Metro PCS store in the south-west part of the town, when an unidentified man, who appeared to be in his late 30s, entered the business.
The man was trying to rob the store as the lone employee inside — they have a license to carry a gun — was fired at the robber several times, striking him with it.

“I heard about 10 shots and I got out of the car to look around, and I didn’t see the guy that work there was carried out of the store with a gun in his hand,” and a man who did not want to be identified, told FOX29.
Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene minutes later.

Debra Earle, who has lived in the neighborhood, said she was upset by what had happened in the store.
“It is very unfortunate, very unfortunate,” she told FOX29. “You can’t feel safe on the streets, it will pay your cell phone bill, right down the street from your house.”

No other injuries were reported, and a weapon was recovered, police said.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, FOX29 reported.
