(Reuters) – Nvidia Corp said on Wednesday its chips will be used to reduce the power of artificial intelligence award for a series of benchmark tests that measure a key performance metric in the industry.
The results are a boost to the efforts of the company to grow into one of the largest growth areas in the it field and conclude that it is in the process of using an AI algorithm, to perform tasks such as translating the audio into text-based applications.
Intel Corp.’s processors, which currently dominate the market for machine-learning, inference, those of the analysts from Morningstar’s estimates for a total value of $11.8 billion by 2021.
However, Nvidia, which dominates in the AI course the chip market, where there is an enormous amount of data to help the algorithms “learn” on the job, such as how to recognize a human voice.
The company has said that it is the consequence of chips to have the quickest results of five independent suite, and AI benchmarks, which is called MLPerf Deduction of 0.5.
The company on Wednesday presented the Jetson Xavier, NX is a new one designed for the AI, the computer is the size of a credit card.
The chip can be used in applications, including small commercial robots, drones, and wearable medical devices, which require more and more processing power without compromising on size and weight, Nvidia said.
Priced at $399, the new chip will be available at the end of March.
