The netherlands, with seventeen swimmers to the world CHAMPIONSHIPS excellent tactical and technical skills in Gwangju

The netherlands will be in July with at least seventeen swimmers (nine women and eight men) to participate in the world cup excellent tactical and technical skills in the South Korean Gwangju.

Swimming federation KNZB made Monday the selection is known, after the past two weekends at the Swim Cups in Den Haag and Eindhoven, the most important kwalificatiemomenten took place.

Ranomi Kromowidjojo and Femke Heemskerk enter the Dutch team. Triple world champion Kromowidjojo swim individually in the 50 and 100 metres free stroke. She succeeded in the past weeks not to meet the performance requirement on the 50 metres butterfly and 50 metres backstroke to comply.

Two-time world champion Heemskerk has the limit swim in the 50, 100 and 200 free.

The KNZB also has five estafetteteams registered: 4×100 m freestyle women 4×100 m individual medley, women, 4×100 m freestyle men, 4×100 meter freestyle and mixed 4×100 metres individual medley mixed.

World cup team can be further expanded

The world cup-squad would be even bigger. Swimmers get in the Open Dutch championships in Amersfoort and the Sette Colli in Rome (both from 21-23 June) the chance to participate in world CHAMPIONSHIPS-limits to comply, provided there are still individual places are available.

The world cup excellent tactical and technical skills are from 21 to 28 July. The selection for the world cup openwaterzwemmen is later published.

At the previous world cup excellent tactical and technical skills, in 2017 in Budapest, won the Netherlands four medals: three silver (Kromowidjojo in the 50 free and the 50 butterfly and the 4×100 meter free mixed) and one bronze (4×100 m free women).
