Eric Paul Brunner has been charged with murder and assault in the death of his mother, authorities say.

A North Carolina man is charged for murder and abuse, because the authorities say his mother to die on the floor of their home after a fall, so that he could collect her life savings.
Eric Paul Brunner, 39, also from his mother, medications for diabetes and other ailments for six days while they lay helpless, the police told the News & Observer of Raleigh.
“Mr. Brunner gives to have in and outside the house, walking along his mother’s body, for at least 24 hours if not longer,” Researcher J. T. Smith wrote in a report, according to the newspaper.
The caregiver on 74-year-old Cynthia Brunner, the son already had at least partial access to the mother of the money, the police told the newspaper. The son told the police that his mother had about $30,000 in the bank, police said.

Brunner reported that his mother died Feb. 19, “more than 24 hours” after she fell and was left, the son, the words of the police, “spinning tops,” the paper reported.
“Mr. Brunner admits that he and his mother have a fine relationship,” Researcher J. N. Yoakum told the newspaper.
Brunner was arrested March 13. He was being held without bail and is scheduled for a hearing on April 14. It was unclear whether he has a lawyer.
