The legislature reached “agreement in principle” in the border security, with $1.3 B for barrier

nearvideo shutdown negotiator: We have an agreement

Congressional negotiators revealed on Monday evening that she was already “an agreement in principle” on border security funding with more than $1.3 billion for physical barriers along the US-Mexican border.

When asked if they had an agreement that the President would agree with Trump, sen., and Richard Shelby, R-Ala., the Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, told reporters: “We think so. We hope that it is so”. Rep. Nita Lowey, D-NY, Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, declined to give information about the offer, but said that a final text can be published by Wednesday.

The legislature has until 11:59 p.m., Friday, the approval by both houses of Congress and signed by Trump in front of some Cabinet-level departments shut down and hundreds of thousands of Federal workers are furloughed in what would be the second partial government shutdown in this year.

Sources say, Fox News, the $ 1.3 billion can only be used for the new construction, which would cover about a valley 55 miles from the border territory of the Rio Grande.

The White house had requested $ 5.7 billion for the border wall and the administration dangled had the possibility, which would explain trump, a national emergency and to redirect money from the Federal budget for the wall construction, but that will almost certainly be challenged in the Congress and the courts.

Talks almost broke down over the weekend, after Democrats pushed to reduce curb funding for detention beds to what they have called, the unnecessarily harsh enforcement by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). A proposal to cap at 16,500 people, the number of prisoners captured, said in areas away from the border — a border Democrats, was intended to prevent ICE overwhelmed — ran in his own Republican wall.

Shelby said night reporters Monday that the bed issue was drawn up, but declined to give details. “We think that it will work,” he said. “We had some tough negotiations.”

Sources told Fox News, the agreement will still beds enough money for 42,774 adults and 2,500 child with the goal of reducing this number to approximately 40,250 until the end of September. But the White house has the ability to move you, a little money in the bill without the Congress a blessing, beds to make more money for the wall or more in prison. With that in mind, sources say, Fox News could go the total number of beds as high as 52,000, although there is no technical limit on the amount.

According to ICE figures, 66 percent of the nearly 159,000 immigrants reported the arrest in the past year have been convicted of crimes. In 2016, under President Obama, about 110,000 immigrants have been arrested, and 86 percent had a criminal record.

At a campaign-style rally Monday night in El Paso, Texas, Trump said he was told that the legislature made to prevent progress in your offer, another shut down. But the President told his staff that he did not want to hear this, and that it was important to talk, “to my people from Texas”.

“I had said in the election,” Trump. “Could I was already outside and listened to, or I could come to the people in El Paso and Texas, but I have chosen you.”
