SAN FRANCISCO – The Last on a large-scale power outage in San Francisco (all times are local):
Pacific Gas & Electric says about more than 90,000 customers affected by an outage in San Francisco.
PG&E spokeswoman Tamar Sarkissian said a series of outages began to affect parts of the city to 9 pm and Friday.
Sarkissian says crews are assessing the situation, but there is no immediate estimate for when power is restored.
The interruption includes the Financial District and other areas. A downtown commuter rail station is closed.
A wide area of San Francisco is struck by a power failure.
The black-out hit at midmorning Friday in the Financial District and other areas.
The Bay Area Rapid Transit tweeted that its the center of Montgomery Station is closed due to the power outage.
The San Francisco Chronicle says (http://bit.ly/2pN3o6b ) the fault is also affecting the Presidio, and KRON-TV reports the fault extends to the Marina/Cow Hollow area.
A call seeking comment from Pacific Gas & Electric was not immediately returned.
