A doctor accused of improper search prescription records of the dead shooter after the Oct. 1 mass shooting on the Las Vegas Strip, will invoke his constitutional right against self-incrimination on an upcoming Nevada State Pharmacy Board disciplinary hearing.

Attorney E. Brent Bryson said Wednesday that Dr. Ivan Goldsmith has been the focus of a “witch hunt” for the source of a newspaper report about shooter Stephen Paddock of the rules in the days after the deadliest mass shooting in modern AMERICAN history.

Bryson accused board officials of “grandstanding to try to influence the public opinion about Dr. Goldsmith, paint him in a negative way for the seat.”
