DENVER – The Latest on the arrest of a Colorado man in the disappearance of his family (all times are local):
The police are investigating a Colorado man for the death of his pregnant wife and two young daughters learned that he had an affair with a colleague.
According to an arrest declaration is opened on Monday, investigators confirmed the affair after Christopher Watts denied in police interviews.
The 33-year-old later told the police that his wife strangled their children, after he had asked for a divorce and he killed her when he saw the bodies.
Watts is charged with three counts of first-degree murder.
A friend asked the police on Aug. 13 to check on 34-year-old Shanann Watts when they don’t show up for an appointment with the doctor.
The document says Watts initially said that the conversation about a separation was civil. In a second interview, Watt said that he and his wife were upset and crying.
A Colorado man told the police that he killed his pregnant wife for the strangling of their daughters, after he sought a divorce.

Watts told the police that shortly after, he saw his wife standing in their youngest daughter and their older daughter sprawled out on her bed and blue via a baby monitor.
Watts said he then, “went into a rage” and strangled his wife.
He told the police that he loaded all three bodies in his work truck and he is buried with his wife in an oil-works to the site and dumped his daughters-in-oil tanks.
Watt faces nine felony charges, including murder.
The family of a pregnant Colorado woman who was murdered, along with her two young daughters would like to thank the police for finding their body.
In a short statement Monday, Shanann Watts’ father, Frank Rzucek, also thanked the people for praying for his family as they grieve.
It came the same day prosecutors charged 33-year-old Christopher Watts with murder in the death of his wife, and their daughters, 4-year-old Bella and 3-year-old Celeste.
A friend reported the 34-year-old Shanann Watts missing a week ago.
Her body was found Thursday, buried on property owned by the oil and gas company that her husband worked for. The bodies of the girls were found in the tanks of crude oil.
Before his arrest last week, Chris Watts complained about missing his wife and daughters in local television interviews. A motive is not yet released.

The authorities find Shanann Watts’ body on Thursday on property owned by the oil and gas company that her husband worked for. The bodies of the 4-year-old Bella and 3-year-old Celeste, were later found in the neighborhood.
The prosecutors have said that they would ask a court to unseal the warrant for Christopher Watts’ arrest, after the submission of the cost.
