A New Hampshire police report shows the officers recommended two deans of an elite prep school be arrested for not properly report allegations a male student groped a female classmate.

In November 2016, state police report obtained Tuesday by The Associated Press shows arrest warrants were being prepared for the Phillips Exeter Academy, Arthur J. Cosgrove and Melissa D. Mischke. The school is the focus of the sexual-assault allegations.

The deans were accused of non-contact with the Department of Health and Human Services after a 17-year-old student told they are attacked by an 18-year-old man from the Park, Florida.

The warrants on misdemeanor charges for violating state reporting laws were given to the Rockingham County attorney’s office. The New York Times first reported the story and says that the deans were not charged.

The deans have not returned e-mails seeking comment.

This story is corrected to show the warrants were granted to Rockingham County, don’t Rock County.
