SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The Last of a series of the suburbs of Phoenix shoot to kill, including a forensic psychiatrist (all times are local):
Police in suburban Phoenix say it is still unclear whether the shooting death of a man in an office park is linked to three other slayings, including the killing of a prominent forensic psychiatrist.
Scottsdale Police Sgt. Ben Hoster said officers were called around 12:10 a.m. Saturday about a person fatally shot inside a company.
Hoster says that the call was made by someone who knows the male victim.
He did not identify the victim.
The authorities say that the fatal shooting in the last two days of two paralegals at a Scottsdale law firm, and Dr. Steven Pitt on his Phoenix-area office are connected.
Hoster said that he could not get into the specific characteristics of the connection.
He says that the police are asking the public to remain vigilant of anything out of the ordinary.
The authorities say that the fatal shooting of two paralegals in a suburb of Phoenix in connection with the murder of a well-known forensic psychiatrist in Phoenix, and the police are investigating as a fourth murder is related.
Scottsdale police Sgt. Ben Hoster says that the killings Friday of 48-year-old Veleria Sharp and the 49-year-old Laura Anderson are connected to the shooting a day earlier of Dr. Steven Pitt.
The women and Pitt were killed outside their Scottsdale offices.
Hoster said a fatal shooting happened Saturday morning at an office in Scottsdale seems to be connected. He found it not established that the victim and didn’t immediately respond to a ask for more information.
The 59-year-old Pitt assisted in the investigation of the 1996 death of JonBenet Ramsey in Colorado, and a series of murders in Phoenix in 2006.
