OKLAHOMA CITY – The Last in a restaurant shooting in Oklahoma City that left the shooter dead (all times are local):
The two citizens who shot a gunman who opened fire in a Oklahoma City restaurant are mostly staying mum about the incident, but recognise that they stopped a threat.
Police say the 35-year-old Juan Carlos Nazario and the 39-year-old Bryan Whittle fatally shot the suspected gunman, 28-year-old Alexander Tilghman, outside the restaurant on Thursday evening.
Nazario is a trained security guard. He spoke briefly with the tv station KWTV , saying: “I just did what I was trained to do to neutralize the situation.” Whittle also briefly spoken with the station, saying: “he stopped the threat.”
Tilghman shot and injured three people in Louie’s On The Lake, before he was fatally shot outside the restaurant. Authorities say the victims are in good condition.
Whittle has not yet responded to messages from The Associated Press. Nazario previously told the AP that he needed “time to enjoy it all in.”
Authorities say a Facebook page in which a man who claims his tv is possessed by the devil belongs to the man suspected of shooting three people in an Oklahoma City restaurant before being killed by two armed bystanders.
Police spokeswoman Megan Morgan, says the researchers believe that the page is that of the 28-year-old Alexander Tilghman, who was fatally shot outside of Louie’s On The Lake restaurant on Thursday evening.
The Facebook page uses the same selfie as a YouTube channel where a guy describes demons possession of his TV and is surrounded by computers. He calmly begs for help from “a man.”
Police say Tilghman shot and injured a woman and two girls in the restaurant. Officials say the victims were in the hospital in good condition.
Authorities also say Tilghman had no criminal record beyond 2003 arrest for domestic assault and battery. When he was 13.
