Authorities say a man arrested after a fire that burned Los Angeles construction site, damaged adjacent structures, and a firefighter injured.
The Los Angeles Fire department says the 20-year-old Benicio Garcia is arrested on suspicion of arson in connection with the Monday morning blaze.
The fire broke out around 6 a.m. in the east of Hollywood, where two buildings were in the wood frame stage of construction.
Authorities said the fire damaged the occupied apartment building and a single-family home around the construction site. Twenty people were displaced from their homes.
A firefighter was struck by falling debris and taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Fire officials say Garcia is held on $ 75,000 bail. It was not immediately clear whether he had a lawyer who could comment.
