The police think a shooting death of a young boy and left three others injured outside a suburb of Denver dental practice a result of road rage.
Westminster police said Friday that the 23-year-old suspect Jeremy Webster did not know or have a relationship with one of the victims. They have not provided more detail about what led to the gunfire.
Authorities say the slain boy’s mother and brother remain in critical condition. A man who has nothing to do with the family was also shot, but was less seriously injured. The police have not yet released their names or ages.
Webster was taken into custody about three hours after the shooting Thursday and was held on suspicion of first-degree murder and sexual assault.

The boy’s mother and brother suffered life-threatening injuries Thursday afternoon. A man who is not related to the family also was shot in the parking lot in the city of Westminster, but was less seriously injured.
The suspect was captured about three hours after the shooting.
The Denver Post reports that he was booked into the jail Friday on suspicion of first-degree murder and three counts of first-degree assault.
Officials say that there is no relationship between the shooter and the victims and have not released a motive for the shooting.
Police are not releasing their identity.
