BAKERSFIELD, California. – The Latest on a shooting in Bakersfield, California (all times are local):

The authorities have determined that the shooter and all five victims of a shooting in Bakersfield, California.

Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood says the 54-year-old Javier Casarez used a .50-caliber gun in the shootings Wednesday evening.

Youngblood has also made it clear that one of the victims was Casarez’s ex-wife, a 45-year-old Petra Maribel Bolanos De Casarez.

Court documents show their divorce was finalized in April. They had three children.

Casarez shot 50-year-old Manuel Contreras and Casarez ‘ s ex-wife on a trucking business, then pursued a 50-year-old Antonio Valadez of that scene, and killed him. Casarez then went to a house and killed 31-year-old Laura Garcia and her father, 57-year-old Eliseo.

Casarez shot himself dead when confronted by a deputy.

The authorities say that a man that five people were killed, including his estranged wife, in Bakersfield, California, targeted victims at two locations during a half-hour rampage.

Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood said Thursday that the gunman and the woman in a divorce case, but the motive for the shooting of the others, Wednesday night is still under investigation.

The sheriff says the gunman is probably being forced by his wife to go to a trucking company where he shot a man, his wife, and then continued at a man who fled and eventually killed him.

The shooter then went to his house, where he shot another man and that the man his daughter. Youngblood says the daughter may have tried to intervene.

The gunman then carjacked a vehicle and drove to a friend’s company where a deputy confronted him.

The deputy body camera video shows the deputy repeatedly ordered the man, his weapon dropping before the man shot himself.

The authorities say that a man that five people were killed, including his wife, in Bakersfield, California, was in the middle of a divorce.

The shooter used a five-shot .50-caliber gun to be reloaded for about a half hour of violence in different locations and with Wednesday.

Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood said Thursday that the shooter was the estranged wife had recently filed for an indefinite change in the provisions of child support, and property.

Youngblood says it is not known whether that was the catalyst for the violence. But he says it bears the consequences of domestic violence.

The sheriff says that authorities are investigating how the other victims were involved.

The shooting started at a trucking company where the gunman shot a man and his wife.

The shooter then went to a house where he shot a man and daughter.

He carjacked a vehicle, leaves a wife and child and drove away. The shooter shot himself in the stomach when he was confronted by a deputy.

A friend of a man killed in a Southern California shooting rampage says that he’s a good family man and does not know why he was targeted.

KERO-TV, citing information from family members, reported Eliseo Garcia and his daughter, the 32-year-old Laura Garcia, were two of the five victims of the Wednesday night shootings in Bakersfield.

David Bunting lives two doors from the Garcia house. Bunting said Thursday that Laura Garcia was a mother of four and her father was a self-employed truck driver who was always with his grandchildren, if they don’t work.

He says that most of the large family were at home when the Garcias were shot dead and are devastated and in shock.

Police say the unknown shooter killed his wife and two other men at a trucking company, then went to the Garcia house. The shooter killed himself as a deputy approached.

The authorities believe that the motivation was a domestic dispute.

Domestic violence is investigated as a motive in a rampage by a man who fatally shot five people, including his wife, before killing himself in Bakersfield, California.

Kern County sheriff’s Lt. Mark King said Thursday that there is “strong evidence” of a domestic violence motive in the Wednesday night rampage. But he says that it still is controlled and not free more information.

King says positive identifications of the dead will come from the coroner’s office.

King says that he expects that more information will be released later in the day.

The authorities say that a gunman killed five people, including his wife, before the gun on himself as a Kern County sheriff’s deputy closed on Wednesday.

There was no immediate word on what led to the shooting that took place on a house and a company in Bakersfield, about 90 miles (145 kilometers) north of Los Angeles.

Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood says the man first showed up at a trucking company with his wife, where he confronted another man shortly before 5:30 pm

Youngblood says the man shot the person at the trucking company, turned and shot his wife, then chased and shot at a man who had shown.

He said that the shooter then went to a house where he shot two people.
