The Latest on the South Carolina public health agency is handling a profane message on her Twitter account (all times are local):

A tweet posted Wednesday by the Department of Health and Environmental Control official account called Trump a “tool”, as amended by an expletive and had #ParklandStudentsSpeak confirmed. Since last week’s deadly shooting, students at marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in parkland, Florida, have spoken out in favor of gun control.

Agency spokesman Tommy Crosby told The Associated Press on Friday the employee meant to tweet from a personal account.

Crosby would not confirm or agency chief spokesman Tim Kelly was still in service. Kelly told the State that he does not think an employee was responsible.

After an open-records request from the AP, Crosby took media and communication. Messages to Kelly gone unanswered.
