The Iowa woman who reportedly suffered a 14-year-old pedestrian Jan. 9 because she thought the girl was “a Mexican,” which is assigned to an incident hours earlier in which a 12-year-old black man, was beaten in a similar way, according to a new report.
In the earlier incident, Nicole Marie Poole of Franklin, 42, is accused of beating 12-year-old black man, with her Jeep Cherokee SUV when he was walking on a sidewalk in an apartment complex, an apartment in Des Moines, the Des Moines Register reported.
Franklin faces a new charge of attempted murder in connection with the above still the case, the Des Moines, according to police. The witnesses of the incident told the police and the Franklin’s SUV accelerated before hitting the unknown boy and causing minor injuries, the newspaper reported.

Latino organizations, including the League of United Latin American Citizens have called for Franklin to be charged with a hate crime, but authorities have not yet taken the step of Registering a notification.
