The discovery of the inert grenade in a passenger’s bag and brought out a part of the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport to a standstill on Thursday evening.
“As a precautionary measure, the passenger screening process was put on hold, and a perimeter was set up,” a spokeswoman for the Wayne County Airport Authority, said in a statement.

The device is the owner of himself, is identified as an active-duty member, and claimed that the grenade was inert.

The passenger was cited for disorderly conduct, and the Detroit Free Press reported.
Normal operations will resume at 7:30 o’clock, or a little less than an hour after the device was discovered.

A similar incident was reported from the Newark Liberty International Airport in January, in which a passenger on the way to the military, and was found by a gold shell.
