The Inert grenade causes security scare at the Detroit Airport

The discovery of the inert grenade in a passenger’s bag and brought out a part of the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport to a standstill on Thursday evening.

“As a precautionary measure, the passenger screening process was put on hold, and a perimeter was set up,” a spokeswoman for the Wayne County Airport Authority, said in a statement.

The device is the owner of himself, is identified as an active-duty member, and claimed that the grenade was inert.

The passenger was cited for disorderly conduct, and the Detroit Free Press reported.
