As a sheriff on a horse, and four police officers were injured when a drunken fight erupted Sunday night at a crowded county fair in southern California, officials said.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department said on Facebook that the fight broke out around 10 a.m. in the vicinity of a grizzly bear, both at the Stanislaus County Fair in Turlock, located about 15 miles south of Modesto.
A group of men, who authorities said appeared to be drunk, and were wearing gang attire and were told they needed to leave the show, which reportedly was an altercation that drew a large group.
As the argument escalated, a man was knocked over by one of the sheriff’s horses.
