One of the co-authors of the Green New Deal to slam Senate majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., for the announcement of the resolution to the vote.

McConnell wants this to be the end, this is only the beginning,” Markey tweeted. “This is not a new Republican trick. By rushing a vote on the #Green new deal resolution, want to the Republicans to avoid a real national debate, & kill to organize our efforts. We are with the first national dialogue on climate change in a decade. We can not allow the Republicans to sabotage it.”
