The golden Lion at Venice for new movie director Guillermo del Toro
The film The Shape of Water by the Mexican director Guillermo del Toro has at the Venice film festival’s Golden Lion for the best film won. The jury made that Saturday known.
The film is a kind of fairytale about a deaf-Elisa as a janitor working in a laboratory where an amphibious creature captured. She is in love with the creature and come up with a way to work together to escape.
The British actress Charlotte Rampling was during the festival awarded as the best actress for her role in the drama Hannah from the Italian director Andrea Pallaoro. The 71-year-old Rampling plays a woman who, after the arrest of her husband her life again should be configured.
The jury prize went to Foxtrot of the Israeli director Samuel Maoz about the death of a young soldier.
