The first picture is of a black hole is in the Museum of Modern Art, New York museum of modern art in the collection. This was confirmed by the Dutch professor Heino Falcke, a scientific head of the Event Horizon Telescope (right), who took the picture in april, has made.
“We have the picture of the world, and now we are giving the gift to the world,” says Falcke in the cultural leaders to the idle on the Radio-1.
The picture is of a black hole, it was in april, and made to be shared. It’s going to be a picture of a supermassive black hole, and its shadow is in the center of the galaxy Messier 87, at about 55 million light-years away from earth.
“It’s like a light from a fire in a circle around the black hole is spinning,” said the Dutch professor and the author of the project. “It seems that we are at the gates of hell at the end of the universe.”
Falcke, devised an experiment in the year 2000
How to be a supermassive black hole comes into being, it is still not clear. The diameter of the black hole is about 100 billion kilometers and the property is 6.5 billion times as heavy as the sun.
The black hole itself is not visible, because of the force of gravity so strong that nothing can escape, not even light. The so-called waarnemingshorizon of the black hole can be seen. This is the boundary beyond which even light cannot escape from it. Even Albert Einstein, who predicted such a limit.
In the experiment, in 2000, developed by Falcke. As he predicted, almost twenty years ago, and that it should be possible to make measurements close to the edge of a black hole, and thus an image of the object to be created.
