A concert with Ice Cube was expected to continue as planned after a shooting Sunday evening in Del Mar, California.
The police responded Sunday night to reports of an officer-involved shooting at the Del Mar Racetrack in Southern California, where a concert with rapper Ice Cube was scheduled.
About 7:30 a.m. Pacific time, the operators of the circuit tweeted that “the situation is contained,” and the concert would be “to continue as planned.”

People at the track have reported seeing the police cars arrive about an hour earlier, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

According to the San Diego FOX 5, the San Diego Sheriff’s Department confirmed that one person was “down” and taken to a hospital, and that one of the department’s deputies was involved in the gunfire. But further details were not immediately available.
The concert for which the tickets were sold out, was scheduled for a full slate of horse racing on the track, the station reported.

The circuit, at Del Mar Fairgrounds is located approximately 21 miles north of downtown San Diego along the coast of the Pacific ocean.
