The outer edge of the 757’s have serious damage to the fuselage and the landing gear, as you can see in the pictures, shared on Twitter by the aviation news website Aeronews.
The Azores area is also famous for having a “very windy” weather, the Sun is observed.
The aircraft was able to taxi, and passengers deplaned in accordance with the standard operating procedures.

Return DL415 to JFK was cancelled. A spokesman for the Atlanta-based airline said that the officials of the investigation at the rocky landing.
“The Delta is currently investigating the damage to the 757, the aircraft that operated flight 414, from JFK to Ponta Delgada, Azores, on Saturday,” a spokesperson told the outlet. “A replacement aircraft was being sent to the control from the flight back to New York.”
