As a unit supply man hit an elderly woman in the head with a hammer before dousing her with the liquid chemical that will spontaneously burn and eventually killed her, the police in South Florida said Tuesday.
The officers in the Boca Raton, responded to a distress call from the woman’s home at about 9:15 p.m. Monday, a police statement said.
Paramedics found an unconscious woman lying on the floor with a blunt-force injuries to her head and severe burns all over her body, police said.
Jorge Luis Dupre Lachazo, is accused of beating a 75-year-old woman and setting her ablaze in her Boca Raton home on Monday, police said.

The police have a man in the house, the 41-year-old David Gonzalez, who told them that he and his companion, 21-year-old Jorge Luis Dupre Lachazo, had delivered a washing machine and a tumble dryer, the woman is at home, the Miami Herald reported. The men are reportedly in the works for the delivery company EX Home Delivery, with a sub-contractor at Best Buy.
Gonzalez told the police that he had gone outside to make a phone call, after which he and Lachazo had been installed on the devices. Lachazo continued to talk to the wife about the new equipment, ” he said.
After that, he heard a screaming in the house, Gonzalez said, and he went back into the house, and saw the blood and the woman lying on the floor. He told me that he was going to go outside to make a call to 911 while Lachazo got in their truck and drove away.

A responding officer spotted the vehicle and pulled over Lachazo, who was sweating and shaking, to the Sun-Sentinel reported. Paramedics reportedly took him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The woman was rushed to a hospital, where she died Tuesday from her injuries, according to police. Her identity has not been released.
The researchers said the Lachazo admitted in an interview that he struck the woman with a hammer, and then doused her with the chemical. Police said he also admitted to using cocaine and marijuana earlier in the day.

He has been charged with first-degree murder, armed burglary with battery, and arson, according to police.
