The Cure for the first time in eleven years with a new album, singer and guitarist Robert Smith Tuesday announced, reports Deadline Wednesday.
In a South African radio programme round the Rock festival on the Lawns in Johannesburg, told Smith himself about the news.
The artist made further not much is known about the yet-untitled album, which is now included. “We do different styles of music to hear, but it will still as our sound”, let Smith know.
Unknown is whether the new music can also be heard on the festivals that The Cure is visiting. Recently it was announced that the British band on Sunday, June 9th at the Pinkpop festival plays.
The Cure is known for songs like A Forest and Lullaby. The latest album of the band, 4:13 Dream, was released in 2008. The forthcoming record will be the fourteenth studio album by The Cure.
