‘The consumer is drinking a little less soda’
The Dutch consumer is something less soda drink. Under the frisdrankdrinkers decreased the average number of glasses per day 1.8 (2015) to 1.6 in 2017.
That emerges from the National Frisdrankonderzoek 2017 of the Dutch association of soft Drinks, Waters and Juices (FWS) under 1.140 frisdrankdrinkers.
Almost all Dutch people (92 percent) drink, sometimes soda, but there is a smaller group (29%) who every day drinks to drink in comparison to 2015 (37 percent). Men drink more frequently, at least five days in the week soft drinks than women (45 percent versus 33 percent).
Regular coke remains the most drunk soft drink, followed by light – and zero variants. However, the variations are less often drunk in comparison with the previous study from 2015 (19 percent vs. 23 percent).
