DOVER, Del. Officers of justice shall, at no additional cost, after a series of trial, and lose, against the prisoners who are accused in the deadly outbreak of violence in Delaware’s maximum-security prison in 2017.
The state attorney general’s office said Wednesday that prosecutors have informed the court officials that they do not have to deal with any of the other running costs in connection with the February 2017, in a riot, in which a security guard was killed and the other staff members taken hostage.
The decision comes less than three weeks after the ex-convict is accused of leading the rebellion, and was found not guilty of the charges of murder, assault, kidnapping, sedition, and conspiracy.
In two previous trials against up to seven other prisoners, resulted in only one murder conviction where prosecutors are dropping charges and a number of others.
Eighteen of the prisoners were charged in the riot, the 16 are accused of the murder of the guard, Steven, Floyd’s death.
