The former Vice-President, Joe Biden, his presidential candidacy was supported by top officials in South Bend, Ind., where Biden’s rival Pete Buttigieg serves as mayor.
Biden’s campaign on Friday announced that Dr. Oliver Davis, a South Bend Common Council of the oldest African Americans, had approved, for the period to 2020 in the lead group to find.

Davis’ confirmation came as polls Buttigieg traction show win and Biden emerging as a younger potential alternative. Biden, long seen as to beat a moderate in the race, experienced a wave of negative press coverage because of his repeated verbal gaffes in the election campaign.
Despite Buttigieg’s national popularity, he’s ardent opposition faced at the local level. For example, the South Bend mayor’s criticism at a local town hall, earlier this year, after a shooting that involved a white police officer and ended with the death of the 54-year-old Eric Logan, a black man.
