The chance of weight gain in children who are near snack bar live’
Children who are close to snack bars to live, are more likely to gain weight than children who are less close in the neighborhood.
That scrhijft The Guardian Monday, based on a survey of the University of the West of England. They did research among 1,500 children between four and eleven years old.
“We already knew that the number of children with obesity doubles between the first and last year of primary school,” says researcher Matthew Pearce. “Through this study we now know that that may come through the place where children live.”
According to the Health survey have to 13.6 percent of the Dutch children between the ages of four and seventeen years old are overweight, of which 2.7 percent are obese. Girls between four and eleven years old were more likely to have overweight and obesity than boys. In the age group twelve to seventeen years old, there are no big differences between boys and girls.
