Two police officers from Gwinnett County, Ga., have been praised for helping a woman celebrate her daughter’s first birthday party, after a video of the meeting, it was discovered during a random audit by the department and the bodies of the images from the camera.
The video was originally recorded on Dec. 11, but it was tweeted out by the department on Wednesday.
Sgt. Nick and Boney, Officer Jimmy Wilson, approached a woman who was holding a set of balloons on a cold night, asking if she could help it.
She told me that she was trying to get back to the house, and the two men immediately offered her a ride.
“Today is the anniversary of my daughter when she turned 1, and” the woman told me, and Boney Wilson. “And I want to make her a cake.”

When it came to her daughter excitedly ran over to the two lawmen, and gave them a hug. She then lit the candle, sang, and moved on to their next call.
