Jed Mercurio, the creator of the series, the Bodyguard, has been with the BBC for talking about the possibility of a second season of the show. This is what he told The Hollywood Reporter at the Banff World Media Festival.
“We are in talks. We’ll look at the logistics side of it. More news to come, we haven’t,” said Mercurio, on the question of whether there is a continuation coming in the series. He confirmed that the BBC will officially have a green light for a second season.
The first season was broadcast on BBC One and in the finals, got eleven million viewers. It was one of the most watched series in 2018. Online said to be astonished about the success of the series.
Bodyguard revolves around a war veteran, David Budd, played by Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden, who is appointed as the bodyguard of the minister of the interior, to whom a plot has been set up.
For the first time by ex-Bodyguard, is in the Netherlands, Netflix-to-show.
