Midland Texas Mayor Jerry Morales, and says that it was great to see both local, state and federal law enforcement agencies to work together in order to stop the Texas mass shooter.
A 17-month-old girl by the name of Anderson has been recuperating from the injuries to her face and chest after she was shot dead on Saturday in a town in the Western part of Texas, which had seven deaths.
“By the grace of God, of Anderson, is expected to make a full recovery,” the parents said in a statement.
The family thanked the emergency responders and doctors, including those at the University Medical Center in Lubbock, where he was being treated, Fox 34 reported. The news station added that the girl was later released on a Sunday, and it was unclear whether or not a scheduled operation to remove shrapnel from her chest that had taken place.

“Even though there is so much to grieve today, there is so much to be thankful for,” the family’s statement read.
Anderson was among 22 people wounded when a gunman went on a rampage stretching across 10 km in the vicinity of the city of Odessa and Midland. Officers killed the gunman outside of a movie theater.
The family asked for Texans and Americans to “stand together” in response to the current situation.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who received a text message from the mother of the child, prior to a news conferece on Sunday, said the child suffered injuries to her lower-lip, tongue, and teeth.

However, Abbott added that the girl’s mother texted: “young children are cute, because they are able to get a shot, but you still want to run around and play.”
