A chicken in the Trunk, Texas has been “clucky” like a huge snake decided to rest in the vicinity of the animal in place of the chicken the next meal.

Sara Allison went to her parents ‘ chickens one night last week, when she saw a large snake curled up under one of them with the name Bernadette, WYFF-News reported.

“Look at this dummy!” Allison wrote in south-east Texas Facebook group “What snake is this?”

“Too stubborn to get up when a rat snake wants a meal lol,” she continued.

In contrast to Bernadette, Allison was involved in the hen’s life and the lives of the other chickens in the chicken coop.

Sara Allison said: the snake has lived in the vicinity of the chicken coop for about four years.

“What should I do?” she asked the members of the group. “I take care of some things for my parents while they are sick and in the hospital. My brother hurt his back, so he can not climb up the stairs to see if it went well on her merry way tonight before he closes the chickens in for the night.”

Allison later wrote that the serpent had lived in a broken down Dodge Ramcharger in the vicinity of the chicken coop for about four years, occasionally thieves a few eggs. While he has never harmed any of the chickens, this was the first time that they spotted the snake in the coop, she told the news station.

“I don’t want to hurt him, because it is just a meal or chickens attack once they are close,” she wrote.

Despite receiving a few suggestions that she should try to remove the hose, eventually went on his way.

“I think he thought that it should high-tail outta there since it was caught,” she joked on Facebook, adding that the snake her father is “buddy” and “he would be really sad if it was gone.”
