SAN ANTONIO – Teachers in Texas are to the firearms training in order to take revenge against possible school shooters.
A group of teachers and principals from around Texas enrolled this week in the state of the school marshals program to learn how to respond and save lives if an attack happens.
After the recent shootings at schools in Florida and in the vicinity of Houston, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is advised that there is now more participation in the program that started four years ago.
The program is voluntary and the candidates must first be approved by their school districts, a psychological exam and will receive 80 hours of training.
In San Antonio, more than a dozen people were by the scenarios for the track of live shooters on campus and shoot back, if necessary.
