A couple from San Antonio, and is now, thanks in part to a local — and a highly spirited high school cheerleading squad.

Natalie Earthman, an English teacher and cheerleading coach at East Central High School (ECHS), admitted that she was a bit disappointed that her team was cheering at a football game on Halloween as the spooky holiday was her favorite. The ECHS alumni, but had no way of knowing that they have a life-changing surprise.

Her best friend, Jorge Gutiérrez, soon, he ran on the track dressed up as the ECHS hornet, just for fun. Earthman, said she didn’t know it was him as he jogged up to her — despite his checkered Vans sneakers, gave her the idea, and eventually threw out the suit’s head before you get on one knee.

She said, “yes,” and the crowd went wild. The sweet moment was also witnessed Earthman, and Gutierrez’s family, who had been at the secret meeting in the state, according to the bride-to-be.

“I’ve been thinking about it for quite a while. Natalie spends much of her time and is very involved with her cheerleading squad. I had to answer her questions in front of them, her family, and it would mean the most to her,” Gutierrez told Yahoo! “The only thing I knew was that I wanted to be in the mascot costume, Larson, and it all really helped to put the rest together. It was really good.

“I’ve been thinking about it for quite a while. Natalie spends much of her time and is very involved with her cheerleading squad,” said Gutierrez.

Earthman, told Fox News that she was shocked that everyone around her kept the proposal a secret, but said that they were happy with the “magical” moment was exactly the way it did.

Moving forward, the couple is looking forward to planning their wedding, and it is an honor to host their wedding in the fall or winter, the Earthman was added.

When the time comes, Earthman, said she expects to have a back-up of some of the extra special helpers — and their cheerleaders.

“She took up floral design last year, and they want to help you with the planning!” the bride-to-be, she said, adding that the students, and maybe even perform a dance for the big day. As a former cheerleader herself, Earthman, said that she and some of her cheerleading friends performed dance routines to each other’s weddings, too.

More importantly, as an Earthman said that, and she can’t wait to be happily-ever-after with Gutierrez.

“He is my story,” she said.
