Users with older Tesla cars ask Musk or their cars fitted with the new hardware, but according to Musk, that is not possible. “Unfortunately, we would have the whole car to strip and more than three hundred parts should be replaced,” writes Musk.
The Tesla CEO says his company every 12 to 18 months, major revisions will be implementing in its cars. “If we resources could be put into complex heruitvoeringen, would that make us the innovative power of dramatic braking,” said Musk.
Recent Tesla models are equipped with the so-called HW2, a hardwarepakket consisting of more cameras, sensors and a faster computer than previous models. That function is however only available for users if the local legislation fully autonomous driving permits.
