(Reuters) – Elon Musk’s Tesla, Inc has been preparing for the launch of its lease products for Model 3, the to boost demand, news website Electrek said on Tuesday, quoting an e-mail will be sent to the employees.
The e-mail indicated that employees will be able to lease a Model 3 within the next two weeks, Electrek reported citing sources familiar with the matter.
The e-mail does not say where the consumer can lease the sedan.
A Tesla representative said that no decision has been taken on as a Model 3 leases will be available.
In the past year, Tesla has spoken about the use of leases to encourage demand for the Model 3, but the carmaker has been reluctant to introduce the measure because of its effect on the ACCOUNTING policies of the financials.
